One of our very own church family members, Joel Morriss, has recently returned from serving with the BMS Action team in Maputo, Mozambique

Joel will be sharing with us on Tuesday 5th May in a presentation with Q&A over Zoom. Contact us for more details.

Each year the Baptist Mission Society (BMS), send out groups of people aged 18-23 to serve the Lord overseas. The teams train in Birmingham for a month before setting off to serve in their placement country for 6 months and then completing the gap year with a 2 month missions tour across the UK, sharing their experiences with churches, schools and youth groups to encourage and inspire others.

Joel was part of a team of 4 who are serving alongside local churches, working with young people and supporting small Christian business.  He is a keen photographer and hopes to use his gifts and skills to strengthen the work of BMS in Mozambique. He has a real heart for missions and has felt so encouraged by the love and support of his Union Baptist Church family!
